Outstanding TCM Educator Award Description

The Outstanding TCM Educator Award recognises TCMPs who have achieved Senior Consultant TCMP level as per Career and Remuneration Guidelines (CRG) issued by MOH, shown passion and contributed significantly to the education (including training of TCM students, TCMPs and TCM-researchers) through teaching and mentoring efforts. TCMPs nominated for this category will be assessed based on their contribution to nurturing the next generation.  

Awardee will receive $5,000 prize money, trophy, and a certificate. 

Supporting Documents for Nomination

Please provide an Executive Summary in 1-2 pages highlighting the nominee’s main achievements, justification for the award, and a summary of the supporting information stated below on an official letterhead and signed by the Head of organisation.

The remaining supporting information should be included after the Executive Summary and indicated as Annexes with their corresponding heading in the same Word document. 

Heading Supporting Information
Executive Summary Summary of the nominee’s achievements To highlight the nominee’s main achievements, justification for the award category, and a summary of the supporting information presented in Annex A-H. This should be submitted on an official letterhead and signed by the Head of organisation.
Annex A Fulfilment of MOH CRG criteria To provide supporting documents to show nominated TCMP has achieved Senior Consultant TCMP level as per Career and Remuneration Guidelines (CRG) issued by MOH.
Annex B Contributions To provide justification as to how the nominee is passionate and contributed significantly towards education and training of TCM students, TCMPs and TCMP-researchers:

  • Outstanding leader in undergraduate and/or post-graduate clinical and/or classroom TCM education with a consistent track record in training TCM students or TCMPs;
  • Actively creates an environment where learning is encouraged;
  • Engaged in continual learning for the development of TCM in Singapore.
Annex C Impact of Contribution and Recognition To provide justification and attach relevant documents justifying the impact and recognition of the nominee’s contribution and recognition in TCM (e.g. awards received, speaker’s invitation, etc.) on the following levels:
  • Institutional
  • National
  • International
Annex D Achievements To provide justification that the nominee is a respected TCMP in his/her respective field of interest in TCM and/or has made significant contributions to the education, training and development of TCM in Singapore.
Annex E Track Record To provide supporting documents of the TCM students and TCMPs whom the nominee mentored (e.g. mentees’ positions, publications/presentations at recognised platforms, awards received and other achievements), and to justify that nominee created an environment where learning and professional development are encouraged.
Annex F Lifelong Learning To provide justification that the nominee is currently active in postgraduate clinical education and clinical work and is a lifelong learner.
Annex G Curriculum Vitae (CV) of Nominee Please provide the CV of the nominee (up to 5 pages).
Annex H Other supporting documents e.g. Letter(s) of recommendation, list of publications and journals, project outline, etc.
